Suggested order of a ceremony

A ceremony usually lasts up to 30 minutes depending on the music, readings and poetry you include. Our Ruby and Sapphire packages allow or up to two readings in your ceremony.

Please note, you cannot have any religious words, hymns, music or religious connotations in any part of your ceremony.

Our suggested order of ceremony shows the places where these might best fit.

• Pre-arrival music (approximately 15 minutes)
• Entrance music (up to 3 minutes)
• Arrival of processional party
• Welcome & Introduction - you could have a reading option here
• Legal statements
• Declaratory words or statement
• You could have a reading option here
• Contracting vows Additional vows
• Giving/exchanging of rings
• You could have a reading option here
• Signing the schedule with music (approximately 10 minutes)
• Photographs
• Presentation of the commemorative certificate
• Couple lead out
• Exit music (approximately 5 minutes)
